Sports Stars 2 & 3: Ethan Lozevski & Sophie Gocher

Australian sailing representative Ethan Lozevski and national steeplechase sensation Sophie Gocher received their Ryde Sports Foundation Sports Star of the Month Awards on Friday 2 August 2019 at Gladesville Sporties Club .

Both are pictured with Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club President Jim McClymont, North Ryde RSL Community Club President Jim Morris, Gladesville Sporties Club President Paul Mazaroli and Vice President Tracey Mitchell; Ryde Sports Foundation Chairman Jim Hull OAM, North Ryde Golf Club General Manager Graham Dale and President Mark Mathieson and Gladesville RSL Club Director Bob Mavin. Ethan and Sophie performed with distinction for Australia at recent international sporting events. 15 year old Lozevski demonstrated his water craft at the recent World Sailing Championships in Antigua while Ryde Athletics ace Gocher, 18, collected gold at the Oceania Track and Field Championships at Homebush.
