RSF would like to congratulate four of our previous sporting stars Sophie Dwyer (2016-17) secured her debut selection in the Diamonds Netball squad along with Kiera Austin (2012-13) at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Fellow swimming stars Se Bom Lee (2021-22) and Olivia Wunsch (2016-17) have also been selected in Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in USA and Commonwealth Games 2026 squads. Australian bowls rising star Jack McShane who was a previous Ryde Sports Foundation award winner 2018-2019 has been recognised and named Commonwealth Games Australia's 2025 Emerging Athlete of the Year at the organisation President's Dinner in Sydney on Wednesday night. Jack earlier this year became the youngest ever winner of the World's Bowls Indoor Championship men's single title in Aberdeen, Scotland. Jack earlier this year was also announced as recipient of Tier 2 Scholarship in the 2026 Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship and Mentoring Program.
