RSF acknowledges NRRSL Grade 5 Open Gender bowls pennant team grand final victory yesterday against @ Pennant Hills 66 /36 @ Carlingford BC. NRRSL team will now represent Metro NW Region at the NSW State titles at Figtree Sports Club on 21 to 23 August 2026
Following the NRRSL 'RAMS' Baseball AGM, RSF Chair Rob Wilkinson attended the event and seen here with previous RSF Sports Stars. Left to Right Craig Cant who along with his twin bother Brett, received a monthly Sports Star Award in 2009, Brandon Lee a monthly Sports Star award in 2021 and RSF last year assisted Brandon to do a baseball umpiring course in the USA, Dave Nelson monthly Sports Star award in 1989, Rob Wilkinson RSF Chair and NRRSL Board member.
Early this morning at 7.45am Premier Chris Minns opened the new Bennelong Sports Centre at the previous Marsden HS site before the first official games started at 8am. This complex is a very impressive centre with 29 outdoor courts and 4 indoor multi use courts for Netball, Basketball, Picket ball options available for the local community use. The sports centre will be operated by the Y NSW with Eastwood Ryde Netball Association (ERNA). RSF would like to thank the many Government Authorties, ERNA, Y NSW that put this state of the art sporting complex built and open today for the community use.
