New Chairman

Rob Wilkinson was elected Chairman of the Ryde Sports Foundation, taking over the reigns from the Foundation stalwart, and former City of Ryde Mayor, Jim Hull OAM, at the Ryde Sports Foundation AGM on Thursday 3 December 2020.

Jim Hull OAM, who served as the organisation’s chairman for much of its existence, vacated the chairmanship at the Ryde Sports Foundation AGM on Thursday 3 December 2020 but will remain on the committee as the Community Officer.

The Ryde Sports Foundation is a 40-year institution in the City of Ryde—originally established to assist with fundraising for the Olympic Team in 1980, and continues to do so, in addition to supporting the Paralympics.

The Foundation identifies and rewards sporting talent in the City of Ryde through its Sports Star of the Month Awards.
