40th Anniversary Dinner

Over 200 guests gathered at Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club on Friday 7 May 2021 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Ryde Sports Foundation.

The following 13 athletes received awards for the 2019–2021 period:

  • Abby Wilson—Hockey

  • Nic Beveridge—Para Triathlon
  • Georgia Marshall—Netball
  • Brandon Lee—Baseball
  • Alexandra McWhirter and Anna Tran Dinh—Acrobatic Gymnastics
  • Jordan Kelly—Touch Football

Patron and City of Ryde Mayor, Councillor Jerome Laxale, announced Nic Beveridge as Sports Star of the Year. Louise Sauvage OAM accepted this award on behalf of Nic.

The Club 6 Encouragement Award Winners were shared jointly between Alexandra McWhirter, Anna Tran Dinh and Ethan Lozevski.

The ceremony was hosted by the Ryde Sports Foundation Chairman, Rob Wilkinson, and compered by Steve Robilliard.

The Excellence in Sport Award was presented to Alex Wilkinson.

The Contribution to Sport Award was presented to Sandra Donovan for her long-time service and commitment to sailing.

Life Membership Awards were presented to Chris Karas and former chairman, Jim Hull OAM, for their long service to the Ryde Sports Foundation and their commitment to sport in Ryde.
