Ryde Business Forum Business After Hours
The Ryde Sports Foundation will be hosting the first Ryde Business Forum Business After Hours event for 2017 on Monday 6 February, 5:30–7:00 pm, in the Pittwater Room, North Ryde RSL Community Club, corner Pittwater and Magdala Roads, North Ryde.
The Ryde Sports Foundation was formed in 1979, and since then more than 450 local sports stars have been recognised through the Sports Star of the Month Award. In recent years, a partnership with Royal Rehab has provided additional Achievement Awards for young athletes with a disability.
The highly acclaimed achievements of Ryde Sports Foundation winners are evident in the wide range of athletes and sports represented – Louise Sauvage (wheelchair athletics), Darren Clark (athletics) , Greg Matthews (Cricket), Amy Winters (paralympic athletics), Vic Darchinyan (boxing), Joanne Carter (figure skating), Aidan Roach (water polo), Alex Wilkinson (football), Debbie Hockham (ice skating), Marty Roebuck (rugby), Jenny Whiteley (masters swimming), Kim Ravaillion (netball), Tom Craig (hockey), Helen Oh (golf), Simone Kennedy (paralympic cycling).
The Ryde Sports Foundation is supported by Club 6 – North Ryde RSL, Ryde Eastwood Leagues, North Ryde Golf Club, Gladesville RSL and Sporties—the Bendigo Bank and TWT.
Together with Corporate and individual donations, the Ryde Sports Foundation Awards help local athletes achieve their dream to represent State and Country, and to be the best ambassadors for their sport in Ryde.
