Jim Towers is a Director on the Board of the NSW Stroke Recovery Association.
He was the the Community Relations Manager at Royal Rehab from 2006–2016 responsible for Management of Community and Media Relations to promote awareness of the many Royal Rehab services and to develop community engagement through the activities of Royal Rehab. This included the launch and establishment of the Royal Rehab Foundation and related fundraising events, including the Annual Golf Day and Foundation Dinner.
Responsible for the development of the Return2Sport program and Return2Sport Expos and initiated the Royal Rehab Achievement Award program in partnership with the Ryde Sports Foundation. Other significant projects included support for the Ducati Owners Club of NSW and the event management of the Wall of Fame for Brain Injury Awareness Week.
Prior to 2006 Jim had two years as Public Relations Officer for Technical Aid to the Disabled NSW.
His earlier career was in media and entertainment as both a representative and agent for live entertainment, including a number of years as a television production manager with Channel Ten and Entertainment Executive Producer with Sky Channel.
Jim is an Honorary member of the Rotary Club of Ryde and a member of the Riverside Business Chamber.
